LEARN TO SKATE

Certificate Program

Season: November 2024 - March 2025

Ages: 4-11

Cost - 175 zł for 6 lessons

Course for Beginners

During this six-week course, children (ages 4-11) will learn the basics of skating and safety. Upon completion of the course, the children will receive a certificate of completion, with this certificate the child will be able to join the Northstars field hockey program or continue skating, but at a higher price.

The training program was developed by Neil Walsky, a former professional field hockey player and certified USA Hockey instructor with 30 years of skating experience and 10 years of training experience as a children's skating and field hockey coach.

Participants will learn how to properly put on skates and protective accessories (knee pads, elbow pads, gloves and helmets). They will also learn the safest way to get up and down from the skates. Lessons will focus on stepping (to move) and stopping, maintaining correct technique.

By the end of the first lesson, the child will feel much more confident and gain a greater awareness of skating. The fastest way to learn is to have fun, and we'll make sure you enjoy every minute of our lessons.
